Collier Construction Booth Wins Award for Energy Efficiency
Collier Construction participated in this year’s Eco Expo. Thanks to Brewer Media Group for coordinating a very successful expo. Collier showcased our Whole Systems Approach and featured a wall section showing the difference between advanced and conventional framing. Our booth was given the energy efficiency award by the Chattanooga Green Committee.
A number of other participants won awards, including Cabeen Originals for their responsible use of resources. Cabeen Originals has a philosophy for each piece of woodwork that they craft—“Using as much reclaimed lumber as possible, each piece is unique and possesses its own history from its previous use. We make one piece at a time.” Aaron Cabeen's work is very impressive and worth more than just a gander.
David Porfiri and Linda Duvoisin of Mindflow Media premiered a documentary film, Main Street Story: More Than A Home. This film weaves together the story of Baja Dalla, the Main Street Community and our city’s passion for sustainable building. The film is being used to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s green homes. Check out the film’s website at greeninghabitat.org.
