Chattanooga, TN (4/6/09) – Collier Construction will be participating in the Eco Expo. We are very excited that sustainability continues to play a role in Chattanooga’s local economy, and we look forward to seeing some great presenters and visiting some other booths.
Because expos are by nature not entirely eco-friendly, Collier Construction has decided to take a different approach to participating. We are using our space to showcase a real wall section with an actual advanced framed wall (and a conventionally framed wall for comparison). The wall section, as with our table, is comprised of reclaimed materials. We will also be highlighting two sustainable homes, the Rushing residence and the Monroe residence.
We will release our (re)source packet on green construction. This folder details 5 green construction methods that Collier uses to build green homes. David Porfiri of Mindflow Media will be at our space selling a how to video on green construction, featuring behind the scenes footage from his documentary on the Southside Habitat House to premier at 6:30 and 7:00 at the Eco Expo.
